2024 XDating.com Review - You Find Love Or Get Scammed?

Screenshots from our review of XDating

Have you ever been overwhelmed by all the options at the grocery store? Why do there have to be so many kinds of peanut butter, or so many brands of cereal?

Theoretically, options are great, but having too many can freeze you up. It’s hard to know how to evaluate your options. You can't sit in the aisle and taste-test every single item on the shelf (trust me, they hate it when you try).

We are constantly trying out the new options to see if we can find something new to add to our extensive review of the best hookup apps for actually getting laid.  There are a lot of shady sites out there and a few really good ones.

There are so many sites these days and you just can't sign up for everyone. You wouldn’t have enough time or money, and it would be exhausting. You have to know how to separate the wheat from the chaff. That’s why we’re here with an XDating review.

XDating.com Review - Will XDating Find You Love?

We have written reviews of dozens of dating sites, signing up for each one, searching through profiles, and sending messages. All if this to put together our list of the absolute best sites to meet single women. We even read the small print, because we know that you want the real info on a site before you jump in.XDating.com Review

Our XDating review will let you know whether the site can heat up your love life or leave you in the cold.

X Dating looks good at a glance

Upon a cursory examination, Xdating.com looks like it has a lot of promise. The landing page is designed well and the logo, while plain, is classy and inoffensive. Littered across the background are a bunch of Polaroid-like photos, mostly of women, of varying attractiveness. I wouldn’t turn down a date with any of them.

Going deeper, though, the site’s blemishes start to become a bit more obvious, starting with the design. Once I was on the site’s homepage, the layout was far less appealing. The big yellow bar across the top of the screen telling me to confirm my email was ugly, but that was by no means the only issue.

I immediately had a welcome message from a strange cartoon person and in the bottom right corner was a tacky customer service pop-up that looked like it was made twenty years ago for a cheap tech site.

The biggest concern, though, were all the explicit photos which usually means to move on. At this point, you are better off check out our compilation of the only 5 hookup sites you need.

AFF is a significantly better option

It might be a little early in our xdating.com review to point you to better options but we want to make sure you don't waste any time. X Dating is a mediocre site at best and we are confident you can get way better results with AFF.

Why do we think that? Well, AFF has 60,000,000 active users which is about 100 times the number of users X Dating has (if not more). With online dating, the more women you can contact the better your results will be.

In our experience, AFF also is a much more productive site for average looking guys to use. Instead of the beauty pageant that is Tinder, AFF allows guys to present everything they have to offer a woman before she makes a decision. Not just a two-second snap decision based off a single picture.

You can try them for free with any of the links above and should have a pretty good idea of your options in about 10-15 minutes.

Try AFF For Free!
If there's one thing we've learned after trying over 100 different sites and apps it's that quality is hard to find! We've seen more guys find more success using AFF's trial offer than anything else out there. If you're not looking for a long-term relationship but still want to meet someone to fool around with there isn't an easier way to do it.

Not safe for work

The website immediately greeted me with a few very “adult” profile pictures. There was no warning and no option to see only “clean” profiles. Instead, I was met by a popup window that said “Hook up faster! Let them ALL know you like them.” Beneath the text were a ton of profile pictures, most of which were decidedly NSFW.

Now, some dating sites are more risque than others, and that’s okay. Different styles for different tastes. As a general rule, though, the most legit sites put forth more PG content, at least initially. They want you to meet women and to get to know them. They aren’t trying to sell you sex right off the bat. The legitimate sites aim to get you genuinely messaging with someone. If naughty photos happen to follow, so be it.

X Dating is not free

XDating is not freeXDating doesn’t come right out and say they charge for their services. In fact, they seem like they offer a free option at first. You can look at some member profiles and receive messages without paying. You can even match with other members by “liking” each other.

That’s as far as you’ll get before the paywall arrives. As soon as I tried to send a reply message to one of the women who messaged me, I got taken to a membership upgrade page.

Not every good dating site is totally free. Some of the best sites have pay memberships that offer premium services. You can come up first on search results, or get your profile promoted in other ways. Still, even with those, the basics are usually free. You should be able to search for other members, send them messages and set up a date.

When you come to a site that doesn’t let you do those things for free, you should be skeptical. Why would you use it when there are so many other good, free sites out there?

Fake profile photos?

Sites that don’t let you send messages for free are usually trying to hide something. Often, the person you’re attempting to message isn’t even there to respond. I decided to examine some of XDating’s member profiles.

using Google’s reverse image to check for fake profileUsing Google’s reverse image function, I checked out some of the profile pictures. This is almost always my first step because it’s a great way to see if an image appears on other sites. To my lack of surprise, I got a few hits right away. One of the photos also popped up on an adult site. Another was on a ton of Russian sites.

In fact, I came across one woman’s profile photo that included a painting of Vladimir Putin on the wall behind the woman (look for yourself). I don’t know about you, but I’ve never come across anyone in the U.S. who has a painting of the Russian president on their wall. Not a good sign.

X Dating profiles are suspicious

It’s more than just the profile pictures. There were other signs that the profiles on XDating.com are less than genuine. For instance, the self-descriptions tended to be just one or two sentences. They said things like, and I quote, “Im horny and love to have a good time. :D” Another one said, “I'm just wondering wht's out there that i haven't tried yet. Also to reach the point where i can say ‘I did very well...’”

Now, I don’t expect everyone to have a full biography on their dating profile. They don’t need to write me a novel. Some people like to get straight to the point, I can appreciate that. And, look, not everyone has great grammar or is a good speller. But, honestly, these profiles were ridiculous.

Also, I was getting a ton of likes from profiles and I hadn’t even uploaded a photo. What exactly were they liking? Any guy who has spent time on real dating sites knows it generally takes effort to get likes and messages.

What is an “online flirt”?

When I am skeptical about the authenticity of a dating site, I seek out the fine print. On the Terms of Use pages, there are usually some clear signs of what’s going on. On XDating, they said it pretty clearly:

"THIS SITE USES FANTASY PROFILES CALLED 'ONLINE FLIRT®' In order to enhance your amusement experience, to stimulate you and others to use our Services more extensively, and to generally sprinkle some sparkle and excitement into the Services of XDATING.COM."

The fine print goes on to explain that their “fantasy profiles” can send fake messages and even respond with computer-generated chats. Any site using fake profiles is automatically suspect, and honestly, I don’t give them the time.

Legitimate sites may “goose” the experience a little to get you chatting with another member, but straight up impersonation is unacceptable. It suggests their only interest is getting you to pay for a membership. Don’t fall for it.

X Dating can use all of your personal information

I came across yet another red flag in the fine print: “You irrevocably grant us the freely assignable or licensable right to our unrestricted, royalty-free, worldwide use of the Content that you shall publish or transmit through the use of our Services in any media or merchandise at any time.”

It goes on and on in this legal language, explaining all of the ways in which you are giving them permission to publish your own content in any way they see fit. They can use it to advertise or to make other, fake profiles. XDating.com might simply sell it to other sites as they wish.

For entertainment purposes only

I was pretty unimpressed with XDating as a dating site, and that’s because it’s not a dating site at all. They say as much on their on Terms and Conditions page: “XDATING.COM is intended and operated only for purposes of entertainment and fun and for no other purpose or purposes.” So there you go, it’s just for fun, not for helping you actually meet people.

That’s not the only place in their fine print where they tell you honestly what to expect. Users are blatantly warned:

"Simply put, you are most sincerely advised not to disclose anything about yourself in our Services – even in messages - that you don't want to be known publicly – and that you should not use our Services at all unless you have a very thick skin."

They aren’t even being coy about it: you shouldn’t use this site.

X Dating won’t find you a date

Here are things you can find on XDating.com: a fake member profile with a picture of Vladimir Putin; an assortment of seductive messages written by a computer and/or an employee; a nonstop parade of membership upgrade alerts.

Here are some things you aren’t going to find on this site: a good conversation with a real woman; an actual good time; a date.

Seriously, if, after reading this XDating review, you still want to give them a try, all I can say is, buyer beware.
